these tomatoes can be cooked in a broad pan on gastop also.For this, pour1 tbsp oil in the pan.Place tomatoes with open side up and cook covered on low to medium flame till tender.

Ingredients For Soya Stuffed Baked Tomatoes Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they crackle, add garlic and salute.
  • 2. Now add onion ,sautĂ© it till it turns translucent and pink.
  • 3. Now add squeezed Soya granules.
  • 4. Add salt, turmeric powder, dhaniya powder, green chilies and 2-3 spoon water to cook the soya granules.
  • 5. Once soft, add paneer, desiccated coconut and stir fry for 5 minutes.
  • 6. Add chat masala, garam masala and cook for a minute. The salt and spiciness should be on the higher side as the tomatoes do not contain any spice .
  • 7. Now keep this aside to cool.
  • 8. Meanwhile take the oblong shaped tomatoes of almost same size. Cut off their pointed ends so that they can stand erect.
  • 9. Cut them in two equal halves horizontally. Scoop out the flesh with a small spoon.
  • 10. Stuff the soya filling into them.Press firmly so that the filling may not spill out while baking.
  • 11. Grate some cheese on top. This not only makes it tastier but also helps to keep filling in place.
  • 12. Place on a greased baking tray. Bake at 200 degrees in a preheated oven for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • 13. Take out and check. The tomatoes should be tender but firm.
  • 14. Serve immediately.
