Ingredients For Sweet Potato Kheer Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil the sweet potatoes till soft.
  • 2. Peel and grate.
  • 3. Heat milk in a heavy bottom pan.
  • 4. When the milk comes to a boil, add grated sweet potatoes.
  • 5. Soak cashews and almonds in 1/4 cup milk, then chop them.
  • 6. Add 2 tbsp milk powder and cook till the kheer is reduced to almost half and is creamy and thick.
  • 7. Add sugar and chopped nuts.
  • 8. Add cardamom powder and saffron soaked in milk and ross essence.
  • 9. Cook for a minute, then switch off the heat.
  • 10. Serve hot or chill in refrigerator before serving, garnish with pistachio slivers and a few saffron strands.
