On the special occasion of Ganpati I have made this innovative Modak for Bappa. The outer coat of this modak is made with roasted vermicelli stuffed with Mawa.
1.
Heat 1 tspn ghee in a pan. Add mawa and 1cup condensed milk in it. When it will start to leave the sides of the pan then switch off the flame. Stuffing is ready. Keep aside.

Now add 1tspn ghee in a pan. Add broken , thin vermicelli & roast it for few minutes.

Take the roasted vermicelli in a mixing jar with food colour, 1/2 cup condensed milk. almond & cashew nuts. Grind it well & make a paste of it.
4.
Now take modak mould, put some paste in it & fill its middle with mawa.
