Ingredients For Bengali Khichdi Recipe

Methods
  • 1. First of all dry roast the moong dal.
  • 2. Now take a deep kadai, add mustard oil, panchforan, bay leaf and red chili whole.
  • 3. Let it flutter. Now wash the dal n rice. Keep aside. Put diced potato and fry for some time.
  • 4. Now add tomato. Cook till soft. Then add washed dal n rice.
  • 5. Put all the dry masalas along with salt and mix it well.
  • 6. Now add double amount of water n cook this. Cook until dal n rice mixes together and take a form of khichadi.
  • 7. Bengali khichadi is ready to serve with ghee. Pickle or baigan baja and sweet tomato chutney.
