Ingredients For Dal Tadka Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Add soaked dal, salt, half tea spoon of turmeric powder and one and half cup of water in a pressure cooker and cook till 4 whistles.
  • 2. Now take a heavy bottom pan, add ghee and let it heat. Now add cumin seeds and wait for them to splutter. Then add hing.
  • 3. Now add dried fenugreek leaves, and tomatoes. Saute for 2 minutes. Now add all the spices as in ingredients mentioned.
  • 4. Now add 1-2 table spoons of water so that our entire tadka come together and do not burn. Add a little salt as well.
  • 5. Now add the pressure cooked dal and cook for five minutes more.
  • 6. Garnish the dal with some coriander leaves and drizzle some more ghee on top. Serve hot with rice and chapatis.
