Ingredients For Gajar Halwa Tart Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take all purpose flour in a bowl and add 1/4 cup nova ghee in it and mix it gently with tips of your fingers
  • 2. It will become like bread crumbs
  • 3. Then add chilled water in the mixture and knead it into dough
  • 4. Then divide thus dough into 7 to 8 pieces
  • 5. Then roll out each piece of dough into a circle of thickness 1/2 cm
  • 6. Then take 3 inch tart mould and grease it with ghee and arrange the rolled dough into the mould
  • 7. Then prick the dough in tart mould with a fork
  • 8. Then bake this tart for 20 -25 minutes or till golden brown at 180℃
  • 9. Then peel the carrot and grate it with a grater and add it into the pressure cooker
  • 10. Then add milk in pressure cooker and take 1 whistle of it
  • 11. Then open the pressure cooker and add khoya in it and mix it
  • 12. Then cook it till it becomes thick
  • 13. Add sugar, cardamom powder and 1 tbsp ghee in it and stir continuously
  • 14. Now carrot halwa is ready, let it cool down
  • 15. Then take out the tart from oven and let it cool down completely and unfold it
  • 16. Then assemble carrot halwa in each tart and garnish it with chopped pistachios and cashews
  • 17. Then apply silver foil on it(vark) on it
  • 18. Gajar halwa tart is ready to serve
