Dough should not be hard. Fry the kachori on low and low medium flame.

Ingredients For Moong Dal Kachori Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a mixing bowl add flour, salt and ghee. Mix and rub it with your hands for 4-5 minutes.
  • 2. Gradually add water and make soft dough. Cover it with cloth. Keep aside for rest.
  • 3. Soak the dal for 2 hrs. Grind coarsely.
  • 4. Heat 1 tsp ghee, add asafoetida, salt and all the spices. Saute it for few seconds. Add ground moong dal. Mix it very well. Stir continuesly. Saute for 4-5 minutes on low medium flame. When the mixture becomes little dry , turn off the flame.
  • 5. Let it cool. Divide the mixture into equal parts. Check the dough. Lightly knead it. Also divide it in equal parts.
  • 6. Take a portion of the dough, flat it . Put 1 -2 tsp stuffing . Bring the edges of dough together. Close it properly. Gently press and flat it.
  • 7. Heat oil. On low flame deep fry all the kachori till it becomes crispy.
  • 8. Khasta kachori is ready. Remove it in a kitchen napkin.
