Ingredients For Punjabi dum aaloo Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and peel potatoes. Pierce potatoes with fork and fry them. Keep aside.
  • 2. Cut onion, tomatoes, green chilli, ginger and garlic lengthwise.
  • 3. Heat oil in a wok. Add onion, tomatoes, green chilli, ginger and garlic.
  • 4. Cook on low to medium flame. Add cashews and poppy seeds.
  • 5. Mix well. Add curd and continuously mix otherwise the mixture will curdle.
  • 6. Add all the dry masalas. Mix. Turn off the gas.
  • 7. Let the mixture cool completely. Blend the masala finely.
  • 8. Transfer the mixture in a wok. Saute for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  • 9. Add fresh cream or malai . Mix. Add fried baby potatoes.
  • 10. Add water for proper consistency of the gravy. Cover the wok with a lid. Cook for another 4-5 minutes .
  • 11. Turn off the flame. Transfer in a serving bowl. Garnish with freshly chopped green coriander leaves.
