To make the bati, we will first take wheat flour. Then we will add semolina, oil, salt and carom seeds and mix it well. Then add curd and water to it and knead a hard dough.

Then make long long balls of dough and boil them in water. Then take it out of the water and cut it into slurry sized pieces. And then fry it in hot oil till it becomes golden and take it out in a plate. Your hot baati is ready.

To make dal, first of all, we will put the dal in a pressure cooker. When the lentils are boiled, then heat oil in a pan and add asafetida, cumin and garlic paste to it and make it pink. Then by adding chopped tomatoes and chillies, we will prepare its gravy.

Then add salt, chilli and turmeric and add boiled lentils, mix it well and add water to it and boil it. And put green coriander on top. Your dal is ready. To serve, put the bati in a plate, break it into small pieces and serve it by pouring desi ghee and pulses on it.
