Angoori Kofta Recipe

This is a lost Mughlai dish. In this sabji koftas are made with lauki, palak and paneer and a pistachio is filled inside kofta as a filling( as I don't have pistachios I used chopped cashews and raisins as filling inside kofta) and then a creamy gravy is made.

Ingredients For Angoori Kofta Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a bowl, add grated lauki, palak paste, grated paneer, besan, salt, 1 tsp garam masala powder and mix everything properly.
  • 2. Make small oval sized koftas, inside koftas fill with chopped cashews and raisins.
  • 3. Keep the koftas in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • 4. In a kadhai, add oil, before frying roll the koftas in maida and deep fry the koftas and keep aside.
  • 5. In a pan, add oil, add onion paste, saute then add tomato paste and cook for 1 minute, add cashewnut paste and mix, saute everything properly, then add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, sugar, coriander powder and mix, low the flame, add curd and mix, then add water and let the gravy cook for 5 minutes. 4. Add Garam Masala powder and kasoori methi. In bowl add gravy then place the koftas on gravy,
  • 6. add little more gravy on koftas (don't dip koftas in gravy or cook in gravy), ready to serve.
