Soak toor dal and chana dal for two hours. Pressure cook dal with salt ,turmeric powder and 3 cup of water. After 10 mins turn off the flame.

Heat clarified butter in a pan. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds to crackle.

Add onion and ginger and saute till transparent.
4.
Add tomato,green chilly and red chilly powder and cook for one to two mins now add cooked dal Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati.
