Oats Vegetable Upma Recipe

When i received this beautiful hamper from @gotochefofficial and @quaker_india was really happy with its bright colour. Wanted to make something yummy since oats doesn't sound tempting to all. And this pack was perfect since it had two types of flavour mix - 3 sachets of homestyle masala and 1 sachet of tangy tomatoes. If one uses these sachets while making oats we do not need to add any other masalas/spices, except just a bit of salt to taste for the vegetables added! Have used few vegetables, 1 cup oats and mix of both the flavour mix. Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. They’re a gluten-free whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. Studies show that oats and oatmeal have many health benefits. These include weight loss, lower blood sugar levels and a reduced risk of heart disease. So would recommend all to make oats as a part of one of your meals in a day!

Ingredients For Oats Vegetable Upma Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a pan and heat it. Add olive oil and when the oil becomes hot add the chopped white onion to it.
  • 2. Cook it for a while then add the chopped tomatoes and cook them for a while.
  • 3. Now add the remaining three vegetables and let them cook. Cover the pan and cook them.
  • 4. Now add the oats and water to the pan. Also add the flavour mix and salt to taste.
  • 5. Mix everything properly. Cover it and let it cook for a while.
  • 6. Once cooked switch off the gas and transfer the contents into the bowl.
  • 7. Garnish with babycorn, onions, carrots, par boiled peas, cherry tomatoes and mint leaves.
  • 8. Serve it with full fat milk! This bearkfast is a healthy kick start to our day!
