Stuffed Tandoori Kulcha Recipe

Traditionally Kulcha, a typical Indian Punjabi stuffed flatbread, is prepared by baking in a tandoor oven but to make stuffed kulcha, through this recipe, no oven or tandoor is needed. Prepare this delicious potato and paneer filled kulcha very easily on tawa and make the most out of it. Recipe Notes

1.Please clean the tawa before putting another kulcha, as it may not stick on the tawa and may fall down while turning the tawa upside down. 2 If dry mango powder is unavailable then chaat masala can be used. 3 This can also be prepared into an oven at 180 degress for 10 mins

Ingredients For Stuffed Tandoori Kulcha Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Start by kneading the flour and add all the listed ingredients into it. Then cover the flour with a wet cloth and keep it aside for proofing for at least 2 hours.
  • 2. Meanwhile, mix all the ingredients for the stuffing in a bowl.
  • 3. After 2 hours, take the dough, knead it for 2-3 minutes to make it smooth and cut it into two halves.
  • 4. Take one of them, roll it into a 5-6 inch thick circular disc and place the stuffing into the center of it.
  • 5. Now sprinkle some nigella/ blacksesame seeds with coriander leaves and gently roll it into an oval shape using rolling pin. Brush the other side with water and slowly put it on the hot tawa and press gently so that the kulcha sticks onto the tawa.
  • 6. After a minute, flip the tawa upside down and cook kulcha directly on flame till they turn golden brown. Finally, spread some butter and serve hot potato paneer stuffed kulcha.
